What I Do Best

UX/UI & Visual Design

I believe that B2B branding should lead with an enticing visual story that stitches together the data, desires and needs of both the brand and the end customer.

I help B2B tech brands amplify impact and drive meaningful connection through Visual Design, User Interface and User Experience. I bring my cross-channel functional design background, intuition, and lifelong curiosity around the humans consuming the tech.

Who I work with

I work with companies from Big Tech to Startups to the Agencies that serve them. Marquee clients and past employers include: Amazon, Microsoft, Starbucks, Pokeman, US Bank.

How I got here

Design is in my blood. I come from a long family lineage of painters, illustrators, musicians and teachers who, like me, are passionate about making an impact with their art.

For me visual design began with pen and ink illustrations, evolving into screen printing by my early teens with limited-edition T-shirt designs and posters. From there it expanded into point and shoot photography and eventually opportunities to shoot or assist alongside some of the best in the outdoor sports industry for companies like Northwave and Drake and Contour. I ultimately found my calling in graphic design, where my creativity and corporate experience has exploded across industries and mediums, touching everything from snowboard graphics to multi-page print to large scale expo installations to point of sale displays before I moved into digital design and technology user experience about ten years ago.

I’m based in Seattle and am fortunate to include local icons like Amazon and Microsoft plus a handful of top agencies like POP and Hacker, C&W (serving clients like Starbucks and WA Lotto, Olympics) in my repeat client list.

Inspiration

I’ve been mixing music my entire adult life, always blown away by the emotions that emerge when I mix genres and sounds in unexpected ways. I find this same phenomenon exists even in Corporate Visual Design.  As a lifelong Seattleite I’ve benefitted from the stunning outdoor PNW inspiration, creating time in the summers to explore the islands and winters to ride the mountains.

My objective

I’m excited to bring on a new brand OR (even better!) to land full time with a company that allows me to leverage my 20 years of design experience, my curiosity and my desire to visually lead a brand to its highest impact.

Culturally, I love collaboration and modern teams and hope to continue to be a present father through either hybrid or remote work.
